Soma got her training in Rabindra Nritya from Professor Dr. Sruti Bandopadhyay who is the recipient of Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in Manipuri classical dance in 2020. Dr. Bandyopadhyay is the Principal of the Sangeet Bhavan at the Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, West Bengal, India. Soma has been teaching Rabindra Nritya for the last two decades in the Houston area and has performed in many esteemed events in Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston, ISKON and many more and got recognition by the Consul General of India in Houston.
